FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions about Camps & Clinics

Are the camps for kids of all ages?

The ages of our campers differ by program. But even when we have camps that are open to girls 8 to 18, we still group everyone together by age and skill level so that they will be competing at an appropriate level.

How many hours each day do the camps run?

It varies, but typically 3 to 4.

How much do camps cost?

The price of our camps varies based on what the camp is, where it is, and how long it is. As a few examples: our 3-day indoor holiday camp in Puyallup was $199, as was our 3-day Spring Break Camp in Redmond; our 8-week summer camp in Redmond was $750.

Should we bring our own equipment?

Gloves, batting gloves, bats and helmets – yes. We always have a few extras around just in case. We supply all the balls.

What if someone needs to leave camp early one day?

No problem. Just let us know on the first day of camp.

Frequently asked questions about Lessons

What can I expect during a lesson?

EL1 Softball lessons are ideal for athletes ages 8-18 and are a great complement to our team training programs. You will get to select an instructor whose expertise is in the area your athlete wants to work on (e.g. – pitching, contact hitting, power hitting, etc.). We’ll sit down with her and you at the outset (and her coach, if so desired) to work out a progressive development plan that will be customized to her age, experience, skills, physique, and specific playing goals. We combine teaching, technique and technology, and can also work in performance enhancement training if you are interested.

How much do lessons cost?

Prices may vary a little bit from by location. One-on-one lessons are generally about $60 for a 30-minute lesson, and $100 for a 60-minute lessons. The per-lesson price comes down when you buy a package of 5 or 10 lessons.

What about small group lessons?

We welcome groups of 3-4 athletes. This can be a great way to save money on lessons, and to learn by listening and observing. We have to put together the group lessons a little bit differently, so if you are interested in this option please send us an email at info@el1sports.com with the number of athletes, their names, ages, softball positions, desired locations, and skill level/experience, and we will quickly get back to you.

Can I register either online or in the facility?

Yes. But either way, it will go through our third-party booking engine at Vagaro.com, so be sure you register for a Vagaro account.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Instructors do tend to get busy, especially during certain times of the year. While you can sometimes get lucky and book on short notice, we recommend trying to do so at least two weeks out.

What if I don’t know which instructor to choose?

Send us an email at info@el1sports.com, in which you describe your athlete’s age, city, softball positions, and skill level/experience. We will get right back to you with recommendations.

What happens if I need to cancel a scheduled lesson?

Call the facility to let us know as far in advance as possible. We will try to find a convenient time to reschedule.
